International Mother Language Days edit
A SHORT HISTORY
India and Pakistan gained freedom from " Great Britain" in 1947. Pakistan had two parts . One is East Pakistan (Now Bangladesh)and the other is West Pakistan.(Now Pakistan).The major portion of Pakistanee people were Bangalies and their mother tongue was Bangla. So, Bangla has an extra ordinary priority. But it was an irony of fate that the rulers of Pakistan tried to impose Urdu as to the East Pakistan instate of Bangla.
The first issue of this movement was "Tamaddun Majlish"headed by Abul Kashem in 1947 . After that the students of Dhaka University gathered and held a meeting to protest the Pakistan government decision. on 6th December 1947.The students demanded that Bengla must shall be a one of the state language of Pakistan.In December 1947 Professor Nurul Haque formed a language action committee .He was the convener of this committee.
In1948 Pakistan national assembly proposed either Urdu or English will be the state language of Pakistan national assembly ."Dhirendronath Datto"protest it in the assembly.But the Pakistani tulers opposed him. Mr Datto proposed that Bengla is one of the similar language as Urdu.Because the major portion of Pakistanes are bangalee and they speak in bangla .So, we have a great demand of it.But nobody heard him. Hearing this news the politicians,students , intellectuals and the common people of East Pakistan became very excited. A general strick called on 11th March 1948. Including Bangobandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and other national leaders were arrested.The strick remains 12 to 15th April 1948. In the same year the Governor of East Pakistan ignored the popular language demand.Then the language demand quickly spread in East Pakistan.The inhabitants of East Pakistan lost their faith with the ruler.The Bangalies were thought that an extra political party have so needed.Then Awami Muslim League were formed in 1949. Maulana Abdul Hamid Khan Bhashani selected the leader of the party.
In 1950 the Language movement committee was formed in Dhaka University headed by Abdul Matin. Again the chief minister of East Pakistan repeated the same word in a meeting in Dhaka , January 1952. The students were called a strick and called the popular slogan " Rashtrovasha Bangla Chai"on 30th January 1952. On 31st January 1952 the representatives of all parties and the cultural organisations held a meting chaired by Maulana Vashani and formed a all party Language Action Committee.The commitee decided to call a strick on 21st February 1952.But the Government of East Pakistan imposed section 144.The students were gathering in the University campus and calling slogan .The Armed police were surrounding and waiting outside the campus .The students were devided in groups and trying to break the police baricate. Suddenly the police opened fire on the students movement Many of them were injured and Abdus Salam , Abul Barket , Abdul Jabbar, Shafiur Rahman were killed there.
On 23rd February 1952 the students made a temproary Memorial there and named it the "Shaheed Minar".After the great secrifice, on the 16th February 1956 the Heroic Bangalies achieved the goal. Pakistan constituant assembly in adopting both Bangla and Urdu same as the state language of Pakistan on 16th February 1956.
Since then the 21st February has been observed as "Shaheed Dibosh"every year.
On November 17 ,1999 UNESCO declared 21st February as International Mother Language Day on behalf of our Unique sacrifice for the" Mother Language."
"International Mother Language Day" has been observed yearly since 2000 to promote peace and multilingualism around the world and protect all mother languages.
THE RESULT OF THE LANGUAGE MOVEMENT
The seeds of our freedom actually remained hidden in the incident of 21st February.The utmost and invaluable significance of the day has drawn the attaintion of the Global Community which now observes the day as "International Mother Language Day."
The day has a great significance for us . Because on that day our Golden sons laid down their valuable lives for the recognition of our Mother Tongue. As a Bangale I feel very proud of the day. Because the day got recognition internationally and it is now observed all over the world .And now we are living in an Independent Country.

Bangla new year
Now in Bangladesh we are following a modified Bengali calendar . This calendar was submitted by a national committee headed Doctor Muhammad Shahidullah .The committee decided the first five months will contain 31 days each,the rest have thirty days each. But the Falgun will have thirty one days every fourth year as a leap year.The modified Bengali calendar was excepted officially in 1987.Since then the calendar is maintaining as our national Bengali calendar and every ywar the 14th April is celebrating as Bengali New year or Bangla Noboborsho.The Noboborsho is celebrating with traditional festivities across the country. Different socieo and cultural organizations held different cultural programmes the day long. The traders and the shopkeepers open Halkhata and offer sweets to their clients and customers.Chayanat,Fine Arts Institute of Dhaka University organized various programmes .They bringout a colourful procession wearing masks and bearing various banners and festoons . Bangla Academy ,Shilpokola Academy hold various programmes day long.
Jatiya press club organize various programmes day long cand brings out special supliments about this day BTV and Bangladesh Betar broadtcust air special programmes on this day.The day is a public holiday. By this time Bangladesh Government .has sanctioned Baishakhi Vata to observe the day. So the entire nation celebrate the day with joy,cheerfulness and happiness . Panta vhat with hilsha fry is very favorite food for Bangalies,.Overall Pahela Baishakh is our national day and we observer it nationaly

Lets imagine a citizens ordinary day at nwork .The morning starts probably cup of tea ,frollowed by greeting the colleagues .Then coms to the invitable,which is logging in the computer . For many of us the third step has become an automaticbehavior and to dominates the rest of our work day, receiving and sending dozens of emails.

It is a computer-aided way of exchanging digital text message from a sender to one or multiple recipients .E-mails operate through a network of computers linked by the Internate . There are commercial server agencies such as Yahoo, Gmail ,Email Hotmail,etc.that accept the text message from the sender , forward it and deliver instantly to the digital mailbox of the recipient. If the recipient is not online , the message stored and delivered later when the recipient .It works instantly just with the click of the mouse .It has been a powerful communication tool in modern life.

Lakshmi Kant ha is a kind of quilt , but different from other ordinary quilt. To make this kind of Kant old or new clothes ,middle and threads are needed .Mymensingh,Jamalpur, Rajshahi ,Faridpur, Bogra and Jessore are famous for this quilt. Nakshi kantha became very popular after the name poet Jasimuddins poem'' Nakshi Kather Math''.It was published in 1929.Now Nakshi Kantha became very popular both in the country and overseas. Now the Kant ha is making commercially Many expensive shops are selling this quilt. Now the demand of this quilt are increasing national and internationally.

The Royal Bengal Tiger is our National Animal. It lives in the Sundarbans and Chittagong Hill Tracts.It looks very nice but dangerous.Its body is covered with long strips. It is meat eater animal.Normally it hunts other wild animals.It can climbs up the long trees easily.It is the symbol of bravery and sharp intelligent. Our National Memorial is situated at Saver. It is the symbol of our nations respect and honour . It is a symbol for the martyrs of the Liberation War.Though it is made of concrete,but made of blood. Mother Teresa
Who is the lady? Do you know her?Have you ever heard her name? What do you know about her?She is Mother Teresa. One of the greatest humanitarians of the world.Her full name is Agnes Gonxela Bojaxehio.She was born in Macedonia.Her father was an Albanian grocer.She one of the third child of her parents.After her father's sudden death she felt various problems. In December 1928 at age of 17 she departed India.At the begening she was a teacher for girls.
In her school she was called" Mother Teresa."After some days she became a principal of that Institution it was in 1944. In her early life as she was an orphan and helpless,so that reason she was very soft to the poor and helpless.
For their help and support she opened a missionary of charity dedicated to t5he service of the distressed people.In 1948 she got permission of the Indian Government and put on her uniformand passed through the Gate.
For the help and support to the distressed first she took a short medical training. Once she saw who was very sick and lying on the street and a woman was nursing him she thought that she is his wife numerous awards with the Indian Padmasari Award in 1962 and notably the Nobel prize in 1979.
The name of her charity home is "Nirmol Hridoy.

A flag which represents a country over the world called a national flag. It is a thing of pride for any nation. Bangladesh is an independent country is south-east Asia.It is our motherland. As we are free nation, we have a glorious national flag .It represents our freedom and sovereignty. But, we ha not got our national flag overnight. There is a long history of achieving our national flag.Before 26 March 1971, Bangladesh was not an independent nation. She was a part of Pakistan and called East Pakistan then. The military rulers of Pakistan dominated us about thirty years.We were deprived of our due rights. So, it was inevitable to against Pakistan. Our freedom fighters flied the national flag and went for fight against the oppressive rulers. After a freedom fight of nine months , Bangladesh wins victory by a great sacrifice.Then our national flag flies in the free sky of Bangladesh. A devoted son
Have you ever heard the name of Bayezid Bostami? He was a great saint of Islam .He became a saint by his beloved mother's prayer . A very popular and a real fact was behind this .Once upon a time his mother fell serious ill .Bayezed was only the person who looks after her .One night his mother wanted a glass of water for drink then it was late night .The boy saw there is no water in the jar .Then he ran quickly to the shawer and brought water .By this time his mother asleep.Bayazed did not disturb her .He was standing by with glass of water .At the early in the morn she woke up and saw her son was standing with a glass of water in his hand At first she was serprised and could not think anything.Next she remembered everything .She was very pleased and shouted with joy.She prayed to Almighty Allah for his son .Later on Bayezed became a great saint of Islam So I should like to say to all the sons, Love your mother and fill her all wants. I hope you shall be a great as like as Bayazid .No doubt about it.
